SD Displays Through The Years
We have been designing and manufacturing display and exhibition equipment, established in the Thames Valley for over 60 years.
In the early years we were known as Slough Displays with our factory situated in the Bath Road, Slough. Shop fitting and point of sale were our main priority. Two of our key clients Black and Decker and ICI Paints Division decided upon a mobile, portable showroom for use at exhibitions and approached SD for their input. From that moment, SD Displays have been one of the market leaders in the manufacture of high quality, lightweight, portable display equipment. The future of the modular display industry was changing, aluminium became far more accessible and economical to use. Lightweight robust ‘honeycomb’ panel infill became available. Companies were switching from the larger, custom-built exhibition stands, which tended to be disposed of at the end of the show, to the more economical, re-usable, modular stands. SD Displays were in the right place at the right time!
